Steel Pipe Weld Seam Inspection

The QD2080 is installed inside the steel pipe for non-contact inspection of the internal weld seam. Its 360° laser profile captures the weld seam and surrounding inner-wall surface. Continuous scanning provides complete profile data for automated weld quality inspection.

The acquired profiles are reconstructed into high-density 3D point-cloud data, clearly showing the weld seam geometry. The data can be used to evaluate weld height, width, position, continuity and profile shape, as well as identify local protrusions, depressions and other geometric abnormalities.

QD2080 provides a fast, repeatable and non-contact 3D solution for steel pipe internal weld seam inspection, and can be integrated into automated production and quality-control systems.
